Past Present and in Between in Pictures (Part 1)

A busy road junction in the centre of Liverpool in the early 1960s.
On the left is Old Haymarket bus terminus, near St Georges Hall.
The lorries include a Ford Thames 4D dropside flat, a Morris Royal Mail
van, a Leyland Comet flat, a Ford Thames Trader Pickfords tanker,
and a split screen lorry that I cant identify. The big van at the rear
looks like Deans Transport from Edmonton, North London, who I seem
to remember carried furniture. To the right, off picture, is the Mersey Tunnel.
All of the traffic is at the start of the A59, and is being held by a Policeman
on Point Duty. NMP.
