Hi Chap’s, closest I can think of to Edinburgh Airport, is Avondale landfill at Polmont which was an open tip, but thought that had all stopped now. A lot of ejector type lorries from the west travels through to Oxwellmains site at Dunbar, East Lothian, were they have been filling the old limestone quarry for approx 20 years, also a big incinerator built in the last few years. I’ve done both livestock - general haulage going onto farms, and bin work driving onto landfill sites to empty, and double drive would certainly have helped at times, 1 yard in the soft stuff of plastic bags, old mattresses etc and you’d know the benefits of D/D.
