Limp mode

The I shift doesn’t seem as good a gearbox as Volvo used to make . In the lifetime I keep the tractor units they would normally have one gearbox repair/refurb, I keep them to about 12 years when they would have covered about 50k over 1m Km.
The older boxes that we had in the F10’s and early FH’s I wouldn’t normally have had any repairs on.

Saying that though my spare unit I’ve had since new which is a 2006 hasn’t had a gearbox repair.

The later gear selectors do seem a lot tougher than the earlier ones.
