Wheres โ€œ240gardnerโ€ when you need him hes the Atkinson specialist !.. :unamused:

Doing the day job, sorry!

The answer to the original question of which was the top power option in the Borderer, was the turbocharged RR 280. However, only a small number were actually built. Heavier weight Atkinsons were built with the 290 and 335 โ– โ– โ– โ– โ– โ– โ– โ–  but not the Borderer. The Mines Rescue motor is a special heavy duty build, plated at 42T, and not a standard Borderer.

IS the photo in the Atkinson rr280 brochure a 280RR as it has no air intake up the back like the 240G or 250โ– โ– โ– โ– โ– โ– โ–  had or the wider front grill with the bumper bar brackets in the grill for
the crash bar? like the mines rescue has.
or did the 280rr not get the extra cooling and larger air filter
