VOR

Went to collect the lorry this morning, dropped it off yesterday for its 6 week inspection at the local main dealer.
Was told it was vor, because the mud flaps on the tag (26t rigid) had horizontal slits in them.
Seems a bit extreme ? They couldn’t fit new ones as they are non standard fit and have to order parts in.

Use the front stays on the rear and the rear on the front*. Bend a 90 degree angle right next to the bolt loop and screw it to the hole part way up the rear of the front leg. Then bend each stay towards its mount on the mudguard. The lower stay will need to go initially downwards then need a 20-30 degree upwards bend to go straight through the lower bracket on the guard.
You can fit guards to anything after the first hundred or so you’ve done

Its only the actual mud flaps that are damaged, not the whole wheel arches.
Trouble is they are non standard fit as thy flip up when reverse gear is engaged.
Its only the spray suppression that needs replacing, not the whole shebang.

See page 70 under Mercedes Actros. This will be to what the fitter inspecting the vehicle is referring.

Is it just the fact that the wheel arch covers are worn out by the tyres rubbing, driving with lowered suspension etc?
