Here are 2 classic Berliet 6-wheelers of the mid 1950s. First a GBM 10a owned by Transports Desfougères of Sens
and a GBM 10b ready for export to Niger. Its white roof is probably designed to protect from the parching African Sun, though it’s presently hotter in France today than in Niger. Both are fitted with a 150 bhp 9.6 litres 6-cyl diesel and a 2x5 speed Berliet gearbox with two sticks.
