Calais to Maastricht

Hello all, I’m taking a small truck into Maastricht next week, the route I’ve been advised to take is Calais, Dunkirk, Ghent, Brussels ring, Leuven down to Maastricht ?
I had look at Google map and the Calais Dunkirk A25, into E42 Lille, Mons, Liege roads any of you guys familiar with that E42 route ?
Thanks for any replies…

going under is no better or worse than going over(via Antwerp). depends what time you will be passing through the busier areas. nothing in it mileage wise…

Don’t head towards Antwerp, there’s roadworks and queues for miles before the Kennedy tunnel, took 20 mins to get from Kruibeke services to the R1 split for Kallo

ahh the good old kennedy tunnel, no change there then… :unamused:

Yes, and the Austrians are stopping all cars and vans on there way to Italy from getting off the Motorway and using A roads to get around the traffic jams, and on some days are only letting 200 to 300 trucks per hour onto the Inntal motorway causing truck Jams up to the Munich ring,we are seriously looking for other ways into Italy now,and the office are calculating the more costs ,and trying to pass them on to the custumer

Good look with that, my last company tried that one in the customers with the Blanc and Frejus, was told they wouldn’t accept increases, transiting Swiss isn’t cheap and I never took the train
