Now I’m back on the computer I’ll answer my own question, this appears to be the old original type 1 tachograph simulator that’s been around for years.
It’s probably still useful for anyone who’s never used a digital tachograph but the sequence when the card is inserted is very different on newer type 2 tachographs.
