Don’t forget, the hourly rate isn’t everything. A company with decent terms and conditions, easy work is worth a bit less on the rate. I have come off transporters and on to flatbed work. Instead of rushing around like an idiot, I now do one load and one unload a day. Yes it’s £11 an hour, but it does for me.
