Fastest time between starting a new job and realising it isn

Know a lad who started at stobarts…tramping out of crick.
First job was a collection at britvic,on magna park.
He reckoned they’d phoned him 3 or 4 times…before he even got there.
So he span it round,on the island…and took it back

I done a removal out of edinburgh with a global firm. Was going down to cornwall.

Loaded the motor with porters. Started in morning at 8 am. Loaded by 5.30pm. Started driving down south. Parked up when i couldnt keep eyes open. Was down past birmingham by around 2am ish. Boss phoned me at 6.30 am asking how far down i was. Told him id stopped as i was too tired to drive any further.

Started shouting at me. Hung up handed keys to porter phoned back gaffer told him where his lorry was and jumped on train home.

He had to drive down with another driver put customers up in hotel of there choice for another night and pay the guys an extra days wage for aitting about. Safe to say i dont think he wouldve done that again.

In the past i have returned keys to many a companys who think they own you. If only they realised when they have good guys who can do the job without smashing units and taking out bridges would they just look after them.
