ADR Placard requirement? Partial load

A bit late now, as I’m sat on a bay getting tipped as I type, but…

I collected a load from St Helens yesterday evening, for an RDC in Avonmouth today. This is a mixed load, from dog treats to drain cleaner.

There are obviously Limited Quantities within the load, as on the paperwork is states a total weight and an ADR weight.

Should I have been supplied with LQ Placards, or should I have run with my Orange plates shown? I’m genuinely not sure as it’s usually a full load of ADR single product or not for us, very rarely do we have anything mixed.

the paperwork should state, as well as the un no. the shipping name and packing group but also the transport category, which would give an indication what the load threshold should be for the product(s) carried.

eg, transport category 3 would give you a threshold of 1000 (litres or kgs), transport category 0 would be no threshold.

the consignor or whoever raises the paperwork, should be giving you the info for you to make the judgement.

If needed i would have imagined the company would have given trem cards and labels.

Hi mardybum,

Sorry, but I’m not seeing any mention of Limited Quantities on the small snippet that you attached.

There’s no mention of UN number, PSN, Class or Packing Group, so no help there.

There’s no mention of the size or type of packages either.

I can give you a good answer if you can get me the right info.
