What was the problem?
Arranged to meet a mate for a pint and a meal at Stoke tonight, got as far as Leyland s/bound, sat there for over an hour and 15 solid.
Had to come off and turn back at 28 n/b 3 mile up to Bamber to park up, time was running out fast.
Think it was closed both ways in fact.
“Serious collision” apparently.
Closed in both directions so the Air Ambulance could land.
Traffic was turned around and sent on diversion routes.

Someone put on Facebook so could be a potential witness or just a rumour but what they said was car hit central barrier, bounced off and slid across in front of a tanker.
