Hi Dean, Some very interesting pictures and script that I have just looked at on the “Liverpool” thread.
I met Jim Murphy several times about 15 years ago at The Merseyside Transport Trust at Burscough.
I had a good look round at his Schweppes Atkinson Borderer which was completely restored and ready
for the road. I seem to recall that Jim said it was a 2 pedal motor. Every now and again I phone Jim
for a chat and a catch up. During my short time with Jarvis Robinson Transport in Bootle, there was
a driver called Danny Murphy, who I found out was related to Jim Murphy. Regarding the John Mason
removal van, I used to live about 2 miles from their office in the Wavertree district of Liverpool.
