Years ago now before the seat belt law was in knew couple who live was saved by NOT wearing a seat belt
Better to have a little discomfort rather than the horrific injuries of going through a windscreen or worse.
Of course there have been cases where seatbelts have caused injury but they are insignificant compared to the lives and injury that have been saved by them.
