Thieves out at Ferrybridge Services

No, I’m not on about the MSA prices.

Not a nice thing to wake up to.

The bad thing is, itll be some truck owner dealer that buys it or has ordered it at one point or another, either here or across the pond.

Not just Ferrybridge. One of our lads lost all his diesel (about half a tank) at Cromwell southbound the other night, they didn’t even leave him enough to get to the fuel station a mile or so down the road. He was one of three to lose fuel, and only realised when his night heater cut out. Our gaffer went out with jerrycans and the woman in the fuel station said it’s happening EVERY NIGHT. If that’s the case, why isn’t there a trailer with a dozen big violent coppers inside parking up there ready to give the thieves a serious shoeing? They can, after all, utilise public money on police artic units to spy on phone users/seat belt ignorers.
I wonder why anyone bothers to pay for diesel any more - why don’t we all just steal it, safe in the knowledge that our victims will be given a crime number to support them in their time of need.

Must have left his dictionary on the mudguard too.

Any lay-by along the A1 from Stamford to Doncaster is a diesel fairys picnic ground, always has been, but the a lay-bys at the Cromwell’s nth+sth are the worst, there’s a large caravan population around them parts.

Police nowhere to be seen (as usual :unamused: ) presumably checking for insecure loads mob handed…with their famous ‘‘limited resources’’

Last firm I worked at a driver went in for a shower and came back to both door Windows smashed, iPad, phone, sat nav all gone… never parked in ferrybridge since, that would of been 2017

ferrybridge has always been a hotspot for thefts for many years (even when i started 20 years ago) and it not uncommon for wingtops, tail lights, headlights, wheels and loads too dissappear and nobody see’s anything.

When I was on containers a few years ago my gaffa refused to pay for parking so we used to park in industrial estates… However one night due to an accident I had to park on that layby at Cromwell that slips off for the BP garage. I awoke in the morning to find the container door open. But the load was still there and when I took a look it was a load of coffee table legs lolol the didds obviously didn’t fancy building their own tables up.
Cromwell is an obvious theft hotspot so why doesn’t old bill target that area

Just not interested in us, if you called and said I am being robbed they would not give a ■■■■, if you said I’ve got a 12 gauge and I’m going to get out and hang up… they would be there within a few minutes!
