Square Grip Seddon Atkinson. Not had one of this companies on here before,anyone know where they were based ?good evening all, brings back memories this picture. Square Grip (Eastleigh) is where I started HGV driving and this vehicle is being driven by my lorry driving mentor and good friend Roy Raggett. (RIP)
whilst I was there we also had a Volvo F86 and I had a day cab F7, the Sed-Ak in photo was eventually replaced by a ERF C-series. I left in 1984 and joined Clapcotts, Roy followed a year or so later.
unfortunately he passed away in 1994 at the age of 49.
as previously stated Sq. Grip head office was Colnbrook. apart from Eastleigh they also had depots in Bristol, Gateshead and Scotland.My old F7
