I don’t know if the Strato ran ‘over the water’ - I’m pretty sure it was run by Puma International - from Manchester I think - pulling Detrafor trailers out of Ramsgate. Detrafor were from Antwerp iirc, and were busy through Ramsgate in the late 80’s / early 90’s, then they were taken over by CCC- Continental Cargo Carriers - and most of the traction work shifted to Purfleet.
