Leyland at one time produced its own bodies for some double and single deck chassis, and for some coaches, but the majority were supplied as chassis only. Crossley also offered complete vehicles as well as chassis-only deals. AEC had a “captive” bodybuilder, Park Rpyal, but also supplied many of its chassis to outside companies. Bristol was a similar setup, using Eastern Coach Works (ECW) almost exclusively whilst both were under Tilling Group control. Midland Red built many of their own BMMO buses and coaches to their own designs. Seddon used its own subsidiary Pennine Coachworks to complete the Seddon-Pennine range. There were probably others.
