I’ve done TNT, Royal Mail, Aspray, DPD etc… I always slow down to 54mph or whatever if a lorry is trying to overtake me. If you’re overtaken 10 times in 3 hours what would you lose? 20 seconds?

Realistically lorries close right up close before overtaking. 118 seconds i.e. two minutes to be overtaken if I back off to 52mph-54mph doesn’t sound right.

I view it as trading places. The overtaking lorry maintains his speed. If he is up my arse before the overtake and I am up his arse after the overtake, so to speak, I don’t think a lot of time has been bled.

In any case lorries are normally queueing outside TNT / Parcelforce / DPD anyway.
