The army won’t do anything unless it’s ordered to by the Queen.
While to be fair the last true English resistance force in that regard was Hereward the Wake’s.As for France they invaded us and wiped out our National identity then pressed Englishmen into fighting French wars over French Plantagenet power struggles not to mention getting us involved in WW1.While the result of 1789 was Napoleon’s plans for Europe.That all ended well.While we’ve got Royals who obviously prefer the name of Louis to Athelstan or Harold.That says everything.
