What would be the tacho rules for somebody who drivers a 7.5 tonne vehicle to transport a small building from their home base to a customers, erects the building and then drives back to base?You’re transporting the building to a customer so presumably you’re talking about a commercial transaction, therefore it’s in-scope of EU regulations.

Thanks and yes, a commercial transaction. Is there no derogation because the driver is using the truck as a means to an end? When the “driver” gets to his destination and commences work, how should he deal with tacho inputs: i.e dealing with mode changes? You can rest assured that when he is half way through hanging a door or something, he has to trot back to the vehicle and change the mode?
