totally agree with DD, Dumfries & Galloways finest traffic officers have no other goal in life except to do their business on the A75 duckin an diving in laybys and behind a bit of foliage, grinning as they see you coming. Av even seen them in the bus shelter at crocketford. Catchin drunk drivers an neds stealing cars is of no interest to them. the last layby on the right as you head toward Gretna is a favourite cos just when your on the straight an think you,ve finally made the M6 and put yer boot on the money pedal and boom!!! they’ve nicked ye 100 yards before the dual carriageway
Why wouldn’t there be a heavy police presence on the A75? It’s a very busy Euro route.
Of course catching drunk drivers is an interest to them. In the last festive drink drive campaign held throughout December, 11 drivers were caught.
You’re more than likely to see a camera van than the traffic police on the A75 during the day.
