Ferry crossing and driving/rest hours

some ships, for example the birkenhead/belfast then one your in the queue, you dont get a clear run to load.you could be shuffling up closer to the boad like gridlock traffic once they start to load.it looks like your still driving half a mile in a traffic jam.
dover, kilinghome and the likes, then your more likely to fire it up and charge straight on with minimal fuss.
either way ive never found it to make any difference when stopped days or weeks later.
ive never kept a ticket, nor ever had to prove i was on the boat in the 1st place.
for uk ferries,i dont think ive ever used my real name on a crossing yet as its never required.
the plus point depending on who you work for is that you could be taking your time off in carnryan, larne birkenhead,or belfast and nothing can be done to disprove you.
