Day 2 if c+e

in the v or mouth of fifth wheel and not going to jump over wheel

Unless you’re a mile out, the pin will find it’s way so nothing to think about there. Simply check that the mudwings are in line with the edge of the trailer. Not so easy with trailers apart from boxes and curtains.

How will it jump over the 5th wheel when you’ve just checked the height properly? In addition to this, if the suspension is used correctly, it virtually eliminates the possibility. But some trainers don’t teach this. (and, although it’s not a requirement for test, employers will take a dim view of bent trailer legs cos the suspension hasn’t been used.)

Stopping and checking is very good practice where it’s not easy to check otherwise. But no need on test (as its a box or curtain) but no problem either.
