Paying Swiss Tolls

Good morning all!

First time to Swiss this week in a truck - can anyone tell me how I pay the tolls - will be in an artic heading to Lausanne

Thanks all

Long time since I’ve done it but I think principle is the same-- arrive st frontier, go to customs with documents for truck and load, they may send you to agents to clear load at frontier or allow clearance inland. They’ll want kilometrage reading off truck too. You pay on exit when total distance is known. Assuming you’re on T forms and a max of 4 metres high? The Swiss Zoll I found quite helpful providing you weren’t there at peak hours.

The last time in went, I was in transit, not unloading or loading in Switzerland but going to and from Italy .
A French driver showed me the ropes for the toll tax .
I showed the vehicle documents to an official.
Then there is machine, self automated to enter the number of axles .
I was given a swipe card for the machine .
Most drivers will help you out, who have done it many times .
