OK thanks both . I’ll put this idea to bed and perhaps revisit in some years time. As a family we have no real ties here in the UK just ourselves to keep happy.
Up rooting your family to lands new is a huge move though so of course would not be taken lightly
I’ve been away from them before for long stints while I served in the forces but came out for this reason. I/we could live with me not being around for a few weeks at a time but I think I would bring strung up if I told them daddy’s going away for few years haha
Perhaps I move within europe would be easier… but I cannot help think the pay wouldn’t be as good as the UK
