I worked for Humko (KRAFT Foods) as tanker driver 1979 to 1983 based Westinghouse Road then transfered to Smith and Robinson
Humko had had a terminal at Mode Wheel Road. Driver Ray Rothwell had a job of hauling 6 loads a day crude Fish or Palm from Mode Wheel to factory. There was a (one man band subby) Pete Bibby used to run a few loads a day in an old fuel tanker along side Ray. The pumps at Mode Wheel were running on steam and could get a quick turnaround. I remember Sevilles were based at Leigh area but had lots of work when Kraft sold out to PURA foods 1983.
