Ref the looms you will see DAF have changed the outer sheathing a few times alas to no effect the last being a ribbed look which will peel apart then zip back together,which personally i liked no stanley involved though there is people who didn’t know and still stanley knifed it 
Luckily you can buy the ■■■■■■ and effect a simple ,professional repair…Though DAF in their wisdom have now come out with a new ■■■■■■ which is meant to be better ,but i don’t think it is as user friendly,time will tell…Though to give DAF their due they are pro active with wiring issues .Personally i’d love to meet and throttle the guys that put the cable ties on …
