Ok thats that one answered looks like i was told wrong by someone.
I can remember a mate of mine who used to drive a concrete pump ( tacho exempt) being pulled by the old bill and asking to see his tacho as he wanted to show it to a junior officer apparently he was quite gobsmacked when my mate told him he didnt need one in that truck, i bet the junior officer had something to laugh about that night
