So the truck I drive has one of them loud vocal alarms when the N/S indicator is in use, there is a button in the cab saying “turn off between 2330 and 0700” but it doesn’t work. I have reported this for about 4 months now and nothing was done.
Is this a legal thing that the vocal alarm can not be used at night or can they get away with the cut off button not working?

Are you sure it’s not working? The switch might be wired so that it only works while the lights are on, or might be connected with the switch that turns off the reverse beeper.

Yeah we have 3 trucks of this model with the vocal alarm on, the other two turn off. I have tried turning the reverse alarm off which works and then the turn alarm but it still sounds.
TM says it’s not a requirement for it to be off during the night but as I work nights I’m a bit dubious and don’t want a fine or anything.
