Suspended driver

A few complaints from the public and by business’s that we deal with have been made towards a driver, he has been told he can no longer deliver or collect to a particular company.

How can a company stand down or suspend a driver without pay whilst an investigation takes place?

Can a driver be dismissed if another company will not allow him on site and his work depends on it?

Can a driver be dismissed if another company will not allow him on site and his work depends on it?

1. If the driver is being suspended pending a disciplinary hearing/investigation he should be suspended on full pay.
2. If the driver has done something to deserve being banned from a company that his job depends on he’s pretty much put himself out of work.

When I was on chilled work I knew loads of drivers that purposely got banned from morr Wakefield and they were never suspended / sacked , just never got sent there again which suited them down too the ground .
