End of POA's ?

I was told today that poa’s are no longer valid and that all time is either work or rest. The source was supposed to be the VOSA newsletter.

Anyone got any info on this - if it’s true then it looks like another case of keep it quiet until the government earns a stack of fines :imp:

There is nothing about that on the VOSA News & Events web site. I would assume that you’ve been told a rumour and there’s nothing more to it mate.
If we can’t have it on POA, we’ll just switch to break anyway, so what difference does it make  :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :unamused:

This rumour started at our place when the eejits in Brusseles yet again tried to make more changes.

People who are non mobile workers recently were told they could not opt out of the 48 hour working week but apparently for once in his life Phony Bliar stood up for the British workforce ( am i allowed to call us British or would that be racist and upset ethnic minorities) but they are now again allowed to opt out of the 48 hour working week.

I think this myth comes from that scenario, there was a momentary happiness form our drivers who thought that POA would end and we would only be allowed to do 48 hours start to finish but unfortuanely we have POA as mobile workes which noone else in the UK can use unless they are driving a truck.
