June Issue.
Page 3,
under the heading No hours rules for van drivers.

The EU has voted in favour, according to TSN to

Extend the number of days for which a driver must keep records from the present 15 to 28 days.

I could be missing something here but the current week & the last day of last working week is not 15 days, it could be up to 21 days but thats neither 15 or 28 days.
So anyone got any idea’s ■■?
Has the EU or TSN zb’ed up the press release ■■

Since the introduction of tachos and EC Rules for van drivers has been abandoned then it must be refering to Domestic Rules (the figures fit).
By records it means logbooks, which van drivers are supposed to keep…

Yep that would make sense, (which is probably why I didn’t think of it. )
But in my defence it did mention Digital Tacho’s in between no tacho’s for Van’s & records & that made me think HGV / PSV as it followed on from Digital tacho’s & not no Tacho’s for van’s…

THE future amount of tachos which you will have to present will be getting put up to 28days the exact no which the new digital–tacho can record, and this is what the EU BURECATS from Brussels wish to pass
so that drivers will be even more under the watchful eye of the law,
as yet the date is not fixed when it will become law.
