I don’t reckon anything - you taught me to take each regulation seperately and as each reg is not grey but either black or white then there is either a yes or no answer.
Forget GV262 and lets use 261/2006
Article 8. 6.A weekly rest period shall start no later than at the end of six 24-hour periods from the end of the previous weekly rest period.
After a weekly rest a driver starts at noon on sunday
If that driver starts the next weekly rest at noon the following saturday is that legal ?

Article 8. 2. Within each period of 24 hours after the end of the previous daily rest period or weekly rest period a driver shall have taken a new daily rest period.
A driver starts a shift at noon on sunday and before noon on monday takes the required amount of daily rest - is that legal ?
ANSWER = ?
The driver finishes the above shift at 10pm on sunday, takes 11 hours daily rest and starts the next shift at 9am on monday. Before 9am on tuesday the driver takes the required amount of daily rest - is that legal ?
ANSWER = ?
The driver finishes the above shift at 7pm on monday, takes 11 hours daily rest and starts the next shift at 6am on tuesday. Before 6am on wednesday the driver takes the required amount of daily rest - is that legal ?
ANSWER = ?
The same question is asked each time and requires the same yes or no answer.
Providing the answer is yes every time then it is legal.
It was your good self that taught me not to mix 2 regulations at the same time but to take each one on it’s own merits.
