NJ Turnpike / PA extention closed.

Postby Pat Hasler » Sat Jan 21, 2017 9:34 pm

As of last night Friday 20th January 2017 the route is closed indefinitely due to a structural fault on the Delaware bridge. This is the section from exit 6 on the NJ turnpike to the start of I-287 in PA, I ca assume this is going to take a very long time to fix and will cause major problems especially for me :(

Good luck with finding detours folks.

It's a part of our major routing to North Philadelphia and Fairless Hills, not to mention the deliveries along 76.

I'm not on it often, most of our deliveries down that way are peat moss and I tend to go over the bridge at Carney's Point and up 41 to the likes of Avondale and Toughkennamon etc but I can imagine the chaos it will cause.

Twice this week I had to come eastbound along the pike from Carslile PA, I have to get off at the actual exit for route 13 north, that's exactly where it is shut down.
