PDF Training Day 2012

At Brett’s Transport Ltd Guyhirn Wisbech Cambs PE13 4AG

10.00am prompt

Once again the PDF will be holding their annual Training Day on Saturday July 21st at Brett’s Transport.

It will be an informal session with everyone welcome.
Experienced drivers will be available to pass on tips, answer questions and demonstrate procedures.

There will be the opportunity to learn about load security and restraint, including roping and sheeting.
Unlimited reversing practice on both artic and rigids.
Daily checks and procedures will be covered in depth.
Individual requests to learn are always catered for on the day.

In the interests of Health & Safety attendees are requested to bring steel toe capped shoes or boots and a hi-viz jacket or vest, and gloves if they have them. Other safety equipment will be provided as necessary.

Places are strictly limited and although the whole session is free of charge, a place on the day will only be secured by a non refundable donation of £10 to the PDF Charity.

The donation can be made here:

pda-uk.org/pdaforms/pdaf_paypal.htm

Followed by an email to me pat.nicholson@tiscali.co.uk giving your name address and contact number to confirm the booking.

Thinking of becoming a lorry driver?
Or just fancy driving one?

This is also open to non HGV licence holders who would like the opportunity to drive and reverse an artic, and experience a view from the cab

Trucknet members are very welcome  .

Thanks for the praise Jenny

We didn’t want to make the donation compulsory but after having so many book and not turn up last year, we’ve had to do it. I’m sure those on the waiting list for a cancellation last year would agree with it

+1 had a great time last year when I was there some very good useful tips

I have to agree with you too, I also went last year. As a non HGV licence holder, it was a great experience.

The event is a must go for anyone thinking about entering into the trucking world, very helpfull and loads of information. An good time to get a little experience in the trucks and see how they actually feel.

Run very good and great team. Shame I can’t come this year due to work…hope you get a good turn out and donations.

UPDATE: There has been a couple drop out so there are a couple of places left if anyone wants them…email asap please
