Wanted: Class 1 training with twin-split

Well, as I’ve been over here in the US for ages…

I’m wanting to get my class 1 asap after I return, and since I’m now so used to constant mesh boxes, I’d like to take my class 1 in one… any ideas?
Twinsplit or Eaton-Fuller Roadranger, either will do just fine.

Ya got me on that one Alli… LOL… both sing way to many songs for my liking…
But you’ll get a response soon enough, I’m sure… But why would you want to make life more difficult for yourself for the test??.. surely, just get through your test using what ever 'box you can, the easier the better for obvious reasons, and then you can drive what ever you like…

You will probably find most driving schools will use wagons with synchro boxes - for obvious reasons!

You’re obviously used to the gearboxes so the test shouldn’t be a problem.

Don’t know what AndyM means about them singing songs - must be a synchro man!

I did my trainig with DENBY transport, the 480 scanny i trained in C+E had a 3 over 3 range change and each gear could be split twice. Being new, eaton fuller dont mean nuffin to me, so dont know if its what your after.

The Scania box is a synchro box, and can be looked at as a 12 speed.

I dont think many training schools will use constant mesh or Eaton, Fullers nowadays, but there was that Bill Wilford  who ran a kenworth in kent

As Andy M said just use a normal training vehicle then impress your new employers with your skills as a newbie on a fuller :stuck_out_tongue:

As you already have your C (class 2) you only have to blag a trailer off someone
