After failing my first attempt at class 1 ( did,nt really understand
reverse ) i am thinking of holdoing off resit until next year ( April ).
Thing is i dont think i will look for a job driving c1 or c2 until next year
No david, I would advise against waiting.
The driving is still in your system. If you wait, you could forget the things that you have been taught, and next april, you will be right back to square one!!

Have to agree with Andy David, waiting is not a good idea, if you want Class 1.
If you don’t follow through you will find (a,) you need to start all over from scratch again & (b,) you never put off till tomorrow what you can avoid untill next year.
I know it’s hard having put all that hard work in, but with a little more practice you can do it.

got to agree with andy and alan do it while its still fresh in your mind.
if its only the reversing thats the problem ask your instructor to do a days training just going backwards 
you will pick it up it just takes time and when you do it on the pad just relax and take it slow

david i ded exactly same thing. i failed my first test on 15 december and resat an 22nd. I am with all the others. Keep going now. You will have to learn to drive in the bad weather at sometime may as well be sooner rather than later.

Went out for half days training today.
Instructor says what would you like to go over.
Reverse says me.
Went out on reverse area.
After a few! attempts got reverse in one ( no shunts ).
feel completely different about test now.
On we go!
resit soon.( will let you know ).

And believe me, you will know how good it feels when you do pass,the blood,sweat and tears are all worth it.
