i know this might not help, but sometimes sticking with the agencies is a good way of getting to know the firms to touch and not to touch in your area. just a thought. How much experience do you have?
What about picking a few companies out of the phone book and approaching them either by letter, phone or in person and explaining that your looking for a full time job and what your criteria you’d like it to be?
Don’t just rely on them advertising the job, get in there before they do. If you’ve got pleanty of experience then add a CV with it and glamourise it for their benefit.
Trust me, you’ll get a job in know time. It’s just having the confidence and kahuners to pull it off
