Weekly rest period

Hey all, I’m a new driver and I have a few question in regards of weekly rest period.
I drive a Scania today and it has the ,smart” tachographe and it’s telling me to have 45 hrs break. I have been working since last Saturday:0230-1430, Sunday 1000-2030, Tuesday 0000-0800, Wednesday 1030-2030, Thursday which is today I started at 0900 and the I have one more shift tomorrow from 15:30 probably 8-10 hours and the same applies for today.

Am I in the wrong or should I take 45 hrs immediately?
Thanks, Gellert

Yes I had a reduced one already this week. The 45 was done before Saturday as far as I’m aware.
Let’s say the tacho isn’t wrong, what are the consequences of overdriving if it’s a one off?

I really cannot see why it is saying you need a 45 :unamused:

Well, as it turns out my previous 45 was in fact 43.5 so that’s the reason. Told the manager and he sent me home. He said he doesn’t wanna see my face till Monday .
My mrs said she thought I was working too much anyway . I needed the rest too if I’m honest. Hopefully it won’t show an infringement

When exactly was your last 45
Can you post that last 45 date/days/times and then what you worked since then

March the 22nd [emoji23][emoji23]. Last week I should’ve waited and extra 2 hrs before starting the shift on Saturday 2:30, should’ve been 4:30 so I’m screwed. I mean I worked like a lot for all different agencies, time to calm down a little

As a one off the authorities are not likely to be interested so good news there
I would write an explanation on a printout just in case stating it was an oversight by 2 hours
