Hi, I sent my license off to get my hgv provisional done, but when it was returned its exactly the same.This is the first time I’ve done this.Can anyone advise me if this is normal. Apologies for being a novice.Cheers guys.

no worries I panicked when it happened to me I cant remember the reason why dvla gave me as it was a few years ago now. But if you google check my licence and fill in the details on the .gov site it should show as provisional on there
On the back it should give u dates of what u can provisionally drive or put your driving number on the dvla website

When you get your shiny new provisional licence it wont look any different to the one you sent with your application. But, as said, a driving licence check on line will confirm your provisional entitlement.

You can tell they’ve done something as the issue number changes.
You can check online to verify they’ve done it right
