Hi all I got my licence back from the dvla having had cat c added on it back today but it says the expiry is 24/12/24 which only gives me 5 years and 1 month. I am only 42 at the moment so cant see this is anything to do with my age.
is this right or has the dvla made a balls up

It is a straight up 5 years from when they process it at the DVLA. Your medical doesn’t become due until the licence expires.
D4 medical is for 5 years
Your D4 medicals will be 47 52 57 62 65 66 67 …

Is it that your photo on the licence needs renewing by that date?

both are 12/2024 but I passed my car test in 2008 the medical solution makes sense
