The 45min is fine. You won’t need to take another break for the 6 hours work.

If you do more than 6 hours working time after the end of the 45 minute break you will need another 15 minute break for the 6 hour rule, otherwise you won’t.

Driving breaks also count as WTD breaks and where appropriate (break length) WTD breaks count as driving breaks.

LEGAL example
Work 1.5 hours
Drive 4.5 hours
Break 45 mins = driving time and WTD both satisfied (enough WTD for the whole shift but not for another 6+ hours of drive/work)
Drive 2 hours
Work 2 hours
Drive 2 hours
Break 15 mins to satisfy WTD 6 hour rule
Work 1 hour

ILLEGAL example
Work 2 hours
Drive 4.5 hours
Break 45 mins = ok for driving time but 30 mins too late for WTD 6 hour rule
Drive 2 hours
Work 2 hours
Drive 2 hours
Work 1 hour = 7 hours of work/drive done without a 15 min break for the 6 hour rule
