Driving test faults

simcor:
I thought it was 3 minors equals a fail in any one section. Same as car driving licence.

15 minors is a pass 16 is a fail unless there are 3 repeated minors in one section then its a fail or a major fault is also a fail.

To add a little more meat to the subject there are 4 levels of fault;

Not worthy - a mistake that doesn’t warrant marking

Driving fault - a fault that on its own that isn’t serious eg a late mirror check that has no effect on other road users, this is where a build up of driving faults in the same box can lead to an habitual fault fail. Its worth noting that each box could have many different types of fault marked but all different, its just where the examiner marks it. An example is the moving off safely box, the fault could be no left mirror check, poorly timed signal, no blind spot check…

Serious fault - speaks for itself

Dangerous fault - brown trouser moments that will highly likely result in the test being terminated.

There is also the Not Worthy fault which means a fault in the standard of driving has occurred but its so minor as to be insignificant.
