Having employed more instructors and completed their training, qualifications and registration, I have been able to organise rotas to include evening training during British Summer Time. Sessions will start at 6pm - 9.30pm Tuesday to Friday with the test taken Monday (yes, that will be during the day!). CE candidates will finish at 10pm. Our reversing areas are fully floodlit so there’s no problem even if it’s a very dull day.
There is no extra charge for this. I hope this may help folks who have problems getting time off for training. It will also make life easier around child care for some.
BUT PLEASE REMEMBER THAT YOU MUST BE ALERT AND ABLE TO FULLY CONCENTRATE IN ORDER TO DRIVE SAFELY. So if you’ve got a demanding 9 - 5 job, please think twice before committing to evening training.
I see no reason why this shouldn’t be a huge success. I will be keeping a keen eye on feedback.
