If you can’t there are a lot of truck drivers who are being taken off the road, me included. Suspect that was someone outside the eyesight requirements or wearing milkbottle lenses.
Your eyesight has to be pretty extremely off if you arent going to pass the medical. Bring slightly short sighted really isn’t going to affect you.
Some docs can do the eyesight tests else you need to get the details filled in by an optician on the D4 form. Many do it for free if you do it at time of eyetest at least in the highstreet.
Only thing is, if you need glasses wear them as you dont want to get involved in a crash and they find out you need them or have the 01 on your licence.
