I wont get the optician to fill mine in anymore , they get far too involved, best place is your backstreet medical place for 50 quid, doctor asked me to read the letters on the charts while she had her back to me 
needless to say i passed and my glasses stayed in my pocket, unless you really have issues with sight then i wouldnt let an optrician anywhere near a D4 (or whatever it is)
