Truck Moves Tacho Q?

I have been working for a company that moves Trucks going on / off hire around the UK.

Company owner says that I am not required to use my digital tacho as I am not delivering goods. Is this correct?

I am led to believe I can put tacho onto OUT OF SCOPE for this.

Basically want to keep myself right. Dont want an awkward pull from VOSA.

Any help appreciated. Cheers

You are delivering goods; the truck!
You are working, so should use it normally IMO

It’s still hire & reward as the company is being payed for the service

gov.uk/guidance/drivers-hou … erogations

idrive:
Drivers’ hours and tachographs: goods vehicles - 1. EU and AETR rules on drivers’ hours - Guidance - GOV.UK

yes that`s what I thought & had read up on previously. Will continue to use my drivers card in tacho, taking required breaks.

The other drivers can do what they want…
