Long hours today....need advice

Day off yesterday
Clock on 10:30 monday morning
Clock off 00:50 Tuesday morning.
Did all the required breaks, but what’s my situation regarding clocking on in the morning, Tuesday? Supposed to be 10:30.
I intend to go in at the normal time but not clock on until I find out the score either from you guys, if you’re awake, or my Agency dude in the morning.

Any advice is welcome.
Thanks

You can legally start work at 09:50 or any time after that.

You had a reduced daily rest period on Monday anyway so having less than 11 hours rest isn’t going to change anything.

Sent from my mobile.

I was hoping for a morning off, but I’ll take the hourly pay instead

Thanks

Stevie my mate… Stop slacking - 15 hour days is where it’s at.

Bit of advice for you. There is an app called ‘TruckerTimer’ which another driver put me onto. It tells you how long you have between breaks and will even say how many reduced weekly breaks you take etc. Uses the GPS on your phone to tell when you are moving and will switch between driving and other work. You only need to tell it when you start your shift, when you take your break (even has an alarm to tell you when they are over) and when you finish.

Handy for keeping you legal - and also handy for checking the agency are not fiddling your wages/hours.

Ta Sammy, just bought it. Now gotta figger out how to use it

Me, personally? I’d be happy doing 15 hour days, but not every day cos it’s not just driving. In fact, driving is the least time consuming part of this job. I’ve only had to reset driving time twice in 5 weeks over an 11 hour shift. Other Work is where THIS job is at :open_mouth:
Namby pamby snowflake millenium wusses need not apply.
Today, an average to easy day, Me and my compadre have horsed 3 washing machines in and connected em up, took 3 out,
Took a HUGE fridge in (Took a door off to get it in then replaced the door)
Took 3 mattresses in and 2 out, (Mattresses are the WORST job to get. it’s always upstairs, it’s always tight, they’re nearly always heavy and floppy!
Took a bed frame in and dissembled it (upstairs)
4 TVs in. Big ■■■■■■■■ as well! 2 went to 3rd floor flats.
A dishwasher in and connect, and one out.
And that was an average/easy ish day. 20 drops and 2 collects.

I remember the days when I used to do all the white goods installations for the family. wasing machine in, connect up, a sigh of relief that the job was over. Dammit, I do that 20 times a frikkin day now!
