HIAB Training.

I’m thinking about taking my HIAB ticket sometime in the new year. However, I’ve noticed that there are different types of certificate (ALLMI, CSCS, RTITB, etc.) Apparently, certain employers/sites will only accept certain certificates.

Which one would be the best of the lot?

Also, do you need separate training for attatchments like a clamshell bucket or brick grab?

I know Tockwith do ALLMI accredited hiab training and test so might be an idea to ring them.

ALLMI is the one to have.

And yeah different attachments have different training. Usually an easy top up at a later date.

Also weight restricted. And you really want remote added as well. It’s usually standard anyway. Ticket lasts for 5 years. And has CSCS logo on it to show you have some idea about H&S.

In my opinion, it’s not worth the hassle. I have an allmi 20t/m with hook and brick grab remote. Unless I was desperate I wouldn’t really want to use it. Was a punt I took but not for me. It’s hard work and doesn’t pay a premium in my experience. Others will know more.
